Board of Directors
PowerGenix is well capitalized through private investment by five top tier venture capital firms. Each of these firms is well established, has extensive experience in the energy space and has a history of success investing in new energy technologies.

The financial and directional support afforded by these companies enables PowerGenix to expand its focus to business growth and greatly enhance its production capabilities, sales penetration, and marketing efforts.

The PowerGenix Board of Directors is made up of the following representatives from each of these five firms along with Dan Squiller, PowerGenix's CEO:

  • Ira Ehrenpreis of Technology Partners: Founded more than 20 years ago as a private venture capital firm, Technology Partners manages a total of more than $400 million of investment capital, focusing on early stage companies in Life Sciences and Information Technology sectors.
  • Len Rand of Granite Ventures: Based in San Francisco, Granite Ventures manages more than $650 million in committed venture capital and has invested in more than 70 private companies. In addition to Granite Ventures L.P., a $150 million fund raised in December 2000, the company manages a series of venture capital funds in dedicated partnerships with Adobe Systems Incorporated and Texas Instruments Incorporated.
  • John Rockwell of DFJ Element: DFJ Element, a partnership between Element Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, manages a venture capital fund focusing on investments in high growth, clean technology businesses. DFJ Element invests in companies whose products or services make clean and efficient use of finite natural resources be it energy, water, air or industrial raw materials.
  • Jason Rottenberg of OnPoint Technologies: A U.S. Army-backed venture capital firm headquartered in Maitland, Florida, OnPoint Technologies (www.onpoint.us) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to discover, invest in, and support companies and programs developing innovative mobile power and energy technology in the commercial market with potential application to U.S. Army needs.
  • Zeb Rice of Angeleno Group: A Los Angeles-based private equity firm focused on high growth investments in the energy sector. Angeleno makes investments broadly across the energy industry to support innovative, well-managed, early-to expansion stage companies. Areas of particular interest include: advanced generation and power quality, renewables, energy intelligence and control, transmission and distribution, power storage, and advanced fuel technologies.
