PowerGenix is well capitalized through private investment by six top tier investment firms. Each of these firms is well established, has extensive experience in the energy space and has a history of success investing in new energy technologies.
The financial and directional support afforded by these companies enables PowerGenix to focus on business growth and enables aggressive new product introduction cycles, customer support, and marketing efforts.

- Ira Ehrenpreis of Technology Partners
Ira Ehrenpreis is a General Partner with Technology Partners, leading its Cleantech investment practice. Technology Partners is a 23 year old venture capital firm that has managed more than $750 million of investment capital investing in more than 100 companies. The majority of investments are in early stage companies. The firm invests approximately half of its capital into Cleantech (Energy Technology, Water Technology, and Materials Science) companies and the other half into companies focused on the Life Sciences.
- Nancy Pfund of DBL Investors
Nancy E. Pfund is Founder and Managing Partner of DBL Investors, a San Francisco-based “double bottom line” venture capital firm whose goal is to combine top-tier financial returns with meaningful social, economic and environmental returns in the regions in which it invests. DBL currently manages two funds over $225M with investment focus in clean technology, information technology, healthcare including health and wellness, and sustainability-oriented products and services.
- Zeb Rice of Angeleno Group
Zeb is a Managing partner of Angeleno Group, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm focused on high growth investments in the energy sector. Angeleno makes investments broadly across the energy industry to support innovative, well-managed, early-to expansion stage companies. Areas of particular interest include: advanced generation and power quality, renewables, energy intelligence and control, transmission and distribution, power storage, and advanced fuel technologies.
- John J. Rockwell of DFJ Element
John has 18 years of experience investing in venture capital and developing companies commercializing applications of advanced materials. He has invested broadly across the CleanTech sectors with an emphasis on advanced materials, information technology and electronics. Prior to joining DFJ Element, John was a Partner at Advent International Corporation and managed the firm's California office.

Ned is a partner of Birchmere Ventures, Birchmere Ventures was founded in 1996 to focus on private companies with high intellectual property barriers that create Engineering Driven Innovation. With over $160 million under management, Birchmere is a leading investor in highly differentiated Cleantech, Medical, and Technology companies. Birchmere has been recognized by Preqin as being among the highest-performing venture groups in the industry for well over a decade.
- Jason Rottenberg of Arsenal Venture Partners
Jason is the Managing Director of Arsenal Venture Partners (AVP) the leading venture capital firm focused on the intersection of the commercial and defense markets. AVP, formerly MILCOM Venture Partners, manages multiple early-stage venture capital funds including Arsenal Venture Partners II, OnPoint Technologies, and MILCOM Technologies. AVP invests in companies across three primary sectors: communications and information technology, power and energy, and environmental and industrial technologies.
- Chivas Lam of Qiming Venture Partners
Chivas is a Venture Partner of Qiming Venture Partners, a Shanghai based venture capital firm focused in high growth technological differentiated CleanTech, Life Science and Technology company investments. Founded in 2006 with a China focus, Qiming has invested in over 80 companies and is well recognized as the leading venture firm in China. Qiming is managing an investment capital of USD1B and RMB1B over five funds.
